An aluminum strip for charge air cooler fin usually refers to 3003 or 1060 aluminium strip. The 3003 aluminum strip is a commonly used product in the aluminum-manganese alloy series. Generally automotive cooling system stacked evaporators are made of ordinary 3003 aluminum strip for charge air cooler fin. The total amount of parts of the composition is 0-0.6% Si, 0-0.7% Fe, 0. 05-0.2% Cu, 1-1.5% Mn, 0-0.1% Zn and 0.15% other impurities. If the content of Cu is increased in the composition, the yield strength of the aluminum alloy after welding can be improved, and the strength of the evaporator after brazing can be improved, thereby prolonging the service life of the evaporator. Meanwhile, if Ti is added to the composition, since the Ti element can improve the grain morphology of the alloy after annealing, the corrosion mode of the ordinary 3003 aluminum alloy after long-term use can be effectively converted into a corrosion mode mainly based on surface etching, thereby It prolongs the time of corrosion leakage and further prolongs the service life of evaporation.

The 1060 aluminium strip has a lower price than 3003, for the production process of 1060 aluminium alloy is simper and maturer. If there is little requirements about strength and corrosion resistance of charge air cooler fins, 1060 is a better choice than 3003.
